The microphone blocks the simulation from starting

After Start Simulation, the session stops on a message about the microphone, with the Retry and Back buttons. The browser couldn’t open your microphone.

Depending on the message

“Your browser is blocking microphone access for this site. Allow it in the site settings, then try again.” You refused the permission, or the site is blocked. Allow the microphone in your browser’s site settings, then select Retry.

“No microphone detected. Plug one in, then try again.” Plug in a microphone, then select Retry.

“Your microphone is already in use by another application. Close it, then try again.” Close that application, then select Retry.

If it persists

Select Back: you return to the Dashboard. Start the simulation again from New simulation. A simulation interrupted at the start isn’t counted: counting begins at the 8th exchange.
