Start an assigned interview
FrançaisPick a card in Job Dating, start the interview with a headset, then find it again in your analyses.
Job Dating shows one card per interview your teacher has assigned to you. You play one out loud, with an AI persona acting as the recruiter. Only interviews your teacher has published appear.
Before you start
Wear a headset. The screen reminds you: “Use headphones to prevent echo from interrupting the interview.”
Steps
Open Job Dating.
Find the interview’s card. A date such as “On November 17” tells you when the event takes place.
Select Start.
Read the briefing, then select Start Simulation. Allow microphone access if the browser asks.
Next: What happens during the interview.
What you see
Start on a card you can play. A card you have already played offers Start a new one. An interrupted interview offers Session in progress and Resume.
A greyed-out Over card with Event over since and a date: the event has taken place and you can no longer practice in it. Review my simulation and its analysis (or Review my 3 simulations and their analyses) reopens what you played.
You had not played this interview. on a finished card: nothing to review.
If it doesn’t work
“The interview could not start. Try again, or tell your teacher.” Select Start again, then tell your teacher.
“This event is over: no more simulations can be played in it, and its preparation is locked.” The event has ended. Ask your teacher whether another interview is open.
“No interview has been assigned to you yet.” Your teacher must assign you an interview: see Give students access.
A message about the microphone after Start Simulation: The microphone blocks the interview from starting.
An interview counts in the school’s trial from the 8th exchange: see Usage, trial and client account. If the trial is used up, Start shows “Quota reached.”
